The Government Of Canada Helps Maple Ridge And Pitt Meadows Residents Gain Skills And Jobs.

MAPLE RIDGE, British Columbia — Randy Kamp, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and Member of Parliament for Pitt Meadows − Maple Ridge − Mission, on behalf of the Honourable Monte Solberg, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, today announced funding for Bowman Employment Services to help unemployed workers in the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows area prepare for, obtain, and maintain jobs.

“The Government of Canada is committed to creating the best educated, most skilled, and most flexible work force in the world,” said Mr. Kamp. “Not only will our investment help more than 11,000 individuals in the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows area find and keep quality jobs, but it will also benefit local employers and the local economy.”

Bowman Employment Services will receive $1,354,765 in funding under Service Canada’s Employment Assistance Services program. Through access to accessible job-search facilities, employment counselling, and employment-readiness programming and services, this project will help local individuals gain the skills they need to find and maintain employment.
