Canada Summer Jobs Information Sessions
February 04, 2009
4 February 2009 – Service Canada will be hosting two (2) information sessions for local employers wishing to participate in the CANADA SUMMER JOBS initiative.

Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) is part of the Summer Work Experience program, and provides funding for not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers, and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees. The program helps to create high-quality summer job opportunities for students between the ages of 15 and 30.

“The CSJ program is an excellent opportunity for employers and students in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows and Mission,” says Randy Kamp, MP for Pitt Meadows-Maple Ridge-Mission, “I would encourage all eligible students and employers to investigate this opportunity further.”

Canada Summer Jobs is focused on encouraging employers to create jobs that not only meet their needs, but also benefit students looking to gain work experience.

Information sessions to assist employers in filling out the application for funds will take place on:

Tuesday, Feb. 10, 9:00am and Thursday, Feb. 12, 9:00am

Coquitlam Service Canada Centre
Seymour Room, 2nd Floor
2963 Promenade Glen

Employers wishing to participate are asked to pre-register for these events by calling (604) 945-1738. The deadline to submit applications for the CSJ program is Friday, Feb. 27, 2009.
