Maple Ridge, BC – Randy Kamp today announced that constituents are invited to submit nominations for the Diamond Jubilee Medal marking Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee.
A new commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is a tangible way for Canada to honour Her Majesty for her service to this country. At the same time, it serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
During the year of celebrations, 60,000 deserving Canadians will be recognized.
MP Kamp said, “I would like to invite constituents to become a partner in this program by nominating eligible candidates to receive this national honour. Thirty medals have been allocated for me to present and I look forward to recognizing exemplary Canadians who dedicate their time and efforts to bettering the lives of those around them, and making Canada stronger.”
